It is well established that vitamins and minerals are essential for good health. Yet many believe that they are “unnecessary” because they are found in so many manufactured foods and beverages.
Well, it seems like most of us aren’t really getting all the nutrients we need through our diet. Maybe we’re just not eating the right stuff. In his book “The Vitamin Solution,” author and health guru James Dao proposes that the foods we commonly think of as “healthy” are actually “disordered.” If you eat a lot of processed, low-quality foods, you might not even be eating much of the foods we should be.
If you’re eating processed foods, you’re probably eating too many calories. A daily intake of 2,000 calories a day is considered to be a typical and healthy amount. It’s enough calories to keep your body in good health without any additional supplements. In fact, the average American actually eats more calories (2,876) than they need (2,500) for their daily needs.
The problem with eating too many calories is that if you’re not eating enough of them, you might not be getting enough energy. That can lead to muscle and body aches, and eventually, to a heart attack. If youre not getting enough energy, you might not eat enough food, which can lead to weight gain and an unhealthy diet. An apple a day is not enough. Even a handful of nuts a day is not enough.
Well, the vitamin D formula in the new comic book is actually a food supplement, so that makes it a very legitimate cure for the Vitamin D deficiency that is rampant in the modern urban lifestyle.
Sounds like we have a potential cure for heart disease, although I haven’t tested it myself. I’ve heard that the supplement actually seems to reduce the risk of heart attacks, and reduces the chances of you getting cancer by one-third. It is the first supplement to be funded by the National Institutes of Health.
Most likely, vitamin D is also the single best supplement for preventing cancer. The supplement acts as a natural “cure” for cancer by helping to inhibit the growth of cancerous cells. In order to prevent cancer we would need to keep the body from getting enough of the vitamin, which is why most supplements are not very successful at preventing cancer.
Vitamin D is another good example of how we can’t rely on just the pharmaceutical world to save us. The good guys will always have their hands in the cookie jar, but it’s impossible to know if they’re doing it for the right reasons.
Unfortunately, most of those supplements are not very effective. The problem is that many are not regulated or labeled properly. For example, the vitamin D we take through our daily diet, is not labeled as being for use by children, but it’s still very much a supplement. If you’re a parent, you need to know that your child’s body already absorbs vitamin D, so you shouldn’t take supplements.
