I love when my friends come over and we all make something. It’s a pretty unique idea, but I’d never thought that I’d be able to come up with something that was so easily made in the kitchen. This idea is a fun way to decorate around the holidays and get together with family and friends.
This is another one of those ideas that is so easily made, but really so much of a fun idea. I like how the colors are very festive, and even the wooden spoons do look unique. The only thing I would have changed is to cut out the red and blue colors, but I think it would still work out.
I think I would have to keep the red and blue in mind when using the spoons.
A couple of weeks ago, my daughter asked me if I would make a wine advent calendar. Well, she was asking me if I would. And I wasn’t sure at first (it was a wine advent calendar and all), but we decided to give it a shot.
This is a DIY wine advent calendar. I know, it sounds like an awful, awful idea, but we just wanted to have a party. It will be a fun way to show the kids some of the good things we do during the winter. We want to make it a little more than just a party. We want to let them see that there are really great things to be done in the kitchen.
If you have kids, you can set up one of these to show them. If you don’t have kids, you can still do this, but you need to get them to help you put something together.
This is what I’m talking about: DIY wine advent calendars. Yes, you can do these things yourself, but you need to be sure it’s something that makes a fun, exciting, and memorable party.
The idea is simple: Put a couple of the above-mentioned tips into action. In the first step, find a couple of different wines and decide which one you want to use. You can get creative with this step, by choosing a favorite wine and a favorite person, setting up the wine advent calendar, and then letting the guests do what they want with it.
As always, I love the idea of picking a particular wine as a starting point. But I would caution you to choose something that is not a wine you would use every week of the year. This is due to the fact that most “vintage” wines have a tendency to get “sour” over time, so they tend to taste better on the fifth or sixth sip.
For a wine advent calendar, I like to use a wine that is as simple and basic as possible. I don’t like wines with more complexity, I don’t like wines that are aged, I like wines that are easy to drink and cheap.
