The most basic and simple way to keep your friendships thriving and happy, is to make the effort to understand and know the other person. It’s not just about friendship. For every person that you know, there are things you have in common. For every person you’re not close to, there are things you are afraid of.
This should have been obvious, but I think people forget just how important it is to have people you know. A good friend is not just a friend, but it’s a friend that loves you and cares about you.
