My geriatric patients are older than I am and often act out of character. We’ve had to teach them how to behave and how to act appropriately. We’ve had to teach them how to take care of themselves. We’ve had to teach them how to take care of their bodies and take care of the people that they love.
This is a problem I see time and again. When someone in a nursing home has a breakdown or is in a serious depression, no one wants to hear about it. It doesn’t help when they are already upset. Instead of just talking about it, we tend to become angry and try to control the situation. We tell people to get off the pot. We tell them that they just need to take it easy.
We have to take responsibility for our own health and well-being. It is so important. In fact, I think we take it for granted all the time. How often do I think, “Man, I should just take care of myself.”? It is so important and yet so little of it is said. We take care of our bodies and we take care of our health. We are the most important people in our own lives.

It’s true. When we have a life, we take care of it, we love it, and we take care of our bodies. When we don’t have a life we take care of our bodies and our health. We are the most important people in our own lives.
This is why I feel like there’s a lot of stigma about aging. It’s so hard to figure out what you should be doing to maintain your physical and mental health.
Yeah, I’ve been there. I’ve seen the symptoms of mental and physical health problems that some people are dealing with in their later years. And I’ve also seen the symptoms of Alzheimer’s and other dementias. But I wouldn’t say that I know what should be done to maintain my health. I know that I want to keep doing what I’m doing. I think there are two general approaches. The first is to not worry about it. If you are young, you might want to think of yourself as being young and healthy, because the things that you think will kill you are not that likely to kill you. Also, there is some evidence that the same applies to older folks as well, but you have to be really careful when you discuss your health.
The second approach is to make sure you are taking care of yourself. You might not want to lose a few pounds, but you don’t want to be sick either.
