I’ve been saying the same thing since 2010. I’m so sick and tired of hearing that we should be taking good day and good day total health clinics. I believe it’s a bit of an oxymoron.
The idea of a good day is that it would be like a day when you feel good, without having to be sick. But there are many people who feel ill, and it isn’t the way you want to be feeling. When you are sick you want to be in a place you know you are meant to be and can’t do anything wrong in. With a good day, you feel like you should be having fun and doing things you would normally.
But I digress. I think we should be taking good day at least on the days we feel happy. A good day can sometimes be an illusion anyway, so we should be taking great day on the days we feel happy.
It is not always easy to do it. Even if you are at a great day, you may not be able to have the same great day again. Sometimes it feels like the time and effort spent on taking care of yourself during the day was wasted. Sometimes you feel like you have to pull in a little bit of extra effort because you are doing something that you would normally do anyway. But you do you.
We’re looking at you, you’re doing a little extra effort. We’re not talking about the extra effort that a doctor or a nurse or a social worker or a fitness instructor is doing. We are talking about the extra effort you are giving yourself during the day. If you are not giving yourself the extra effort you need during the day, then you are not doing what you need to do to be happy all the time.
I am not even kidding. It’s not just that you’re taking a few extra steps. You are not just taking a few more steps. You are taking a small step, and that tiny step is the one that you need to take to get where you want to be. It’s the step that will allow you to be the best version of yourself and live a happy life.
