I have a friend who is in a constant battle with her kids about the value of valentines day. For the most part, it’s a game. “What do you value?” “A candy bar?” “A toy?” Well, the kids don’t value candy and toys. They just want to have a candy bar or a toy. I am constantly frustrated by this.
Today marks the fourth year that we’ve made valentine’s day cards for kids, and we’re already seeing a lot of growth in our efforts and new ideas. We made this one for our youngest son, and I don’t know about you, but I wish my kid would make cards that he really loves instead of just the ones that make him feel good.
The trend that started with the release of the first Harry Potter book in 2001 has continued with the release of Pottermore, a series of books geared towards teenage boys about the life of Harry Potter. As the series continues, one of the main subjects of the books is the value of valentines day cards. Children in younger years like to collect them, which is a great way to teach them about love and how important it can be. The same is true with toys and candy too.
Another thing that’s great about this holiday is that it is one that is easy to celebrate. In this day of disposable (and cheap) decorations (and toys), it’s a great way to spend a day with kids without the hassle of buying another gift or buying a card with a dozen of them.
I will be honest, I hate valentines day cards. For some reason, they’re very hard to resist, and I feel like it’s a bad idea to buy a single card as a way to buy a bunch of them. I’m not saying that you can’t buy more than a dozen, but I have to agree with the sentiment of this blog.
I think in general a bunch of them is fine. I love when people use up a bunch of cards with cards of their favorite people or places. I feel that there are really only two downsides to this, and if you have more than a dozen, they can get a bit stale. First, there will be a lot of cards in your hands that don’t work and are useless. Second, you will probably get some of your favorite cards broken or thrown away.
Yes, you can buy more than a dozen, but like we said, it’s up to you to decide if there are any downsides. If you’ve got a bunch of cards that might not work, you can probably just ignore them. But if there are some cards that might be broken or thrown away, you should probably take a look at those.
A good rule of thumb is if you can get your hands on the cards within a month of the day of the release, there’s a good chance the cards will work. You never know what can be done with a cheap card. But don’t just take my word for it. Check out the official press kit for the game. And if you want to check the game out yourself, you can easily download it from the free download site.
At first glance, the game appears to be a very standard “kill two birds with one stone” title, but check out the “official” press kit for the game. It looks more like a “gathering” game than a “kill two birds with one stone” game, but the game is still about killing some people with other people’s technology. Pretty much all the cards are pretty much the same.
The concept of the game is pretty simple. You pick a person (or people) with whom you want to play, and they have to commit a crime. The crime has to be big enough that it makes the person’s life miserable and makes him or her feel like they have no control over his or her life. Then you kill them.
