A labor day preschool crafts is a great idea for helping get you started on your preschool program. You can print them out, use them as a checklist, or write them on a sticky note and stick them in your home. You can even use them as an example of how to do a craft. You can use the colors in the sample prints to match your home decor.
My favorite of the preschool crafts is this one: “What do you think about the shape of a bottle?” This is actually a real craft that was used in our preschool class. We made a little bottle of water, gave everyone a choice of colored water, and then had everyone write down what they thought the shape of the bottle was.
I like this print because it’s very simple. It’s a bottle and it’s a circle and it’s a circle and it’s a circle. It’s not complicated by any means, which I think is important. It’s very easy to learn and it’s so simple that I’m almost embarrassed to show it to other people. Plus, I always make sure my kids are on the same page.
It’s nice that a class of kids can all agree to a pretty simple project. But it also shows that parents can be crafty too, to come up with a project that makes them want to go check out the craft shop to learn more. But as with many classes that can be done without a lot of supervision, you’ll want to be there to guide them to the proper way.
I wish they would have taught the kids something about design like how to make a flower pot. Some of the craft projects seem to require a lot of precision, but the kids don’t seem to mind. They seem to enjoy the creative process.
Of course, the craft shop is also open to the public, so you can go if you want to. And we did. In fact, we stopped in there to look for a specific craft. And I must say that it was one of the most fun things we did. Crafts are a great way to learn about art and design. They also add a bit of “play” to your day.
The kids picked up the basics of pottery pretty quickly and were enjoying the process. In fact, I was glad that the art project wasn’t a cooking project because I was more interested in eating when we were there.
Not a bad way to spend your day if you’ve never made your own art. Or if you’re not into the whole pottery thing.
I think the main thing that makes crafts fun is the fact that they are very hands-on. You can set yourself up for failure and still learn a lot. The kids were using a variety of tools to make and decorate their pots. I don’t think they had a huge knowledge of what to do, but they did a pretty good job. One thing that I did not like was the use of crayons.
Crayons are a great way to mess up your pottery. They can cause splatters and splatter damage. And it’s not the kind of splatter you want to see on your work surface. That being said, if you want to throw a pottery party on Labor Day, just be prepared to clean up the mess.
