The Big Fun Crafty Show is a monthly craft fair that features over 60 shows with over 50,000 items for sale. It is the largest craft fair in the Midwest, and it’s a lot of fun.
The Big Fun craft fair is held in downtown Dayton, Ohio. It is basically a big arts and crafts fair, but there are more than 30,000 vendors on the grounds. For a quick run by the Dayton Area Carpenters, this was our opportunity to get a sneak peek at various different types of woodworking.
I was able to pick up a bunch of different hand-built furniture, such as the chair I used in this video. The chairs were all hand-made, and they were all different. The quality of the workmanship is really really good. The chairs were fun too.
I could see these being a fun addition to your “crafty” show. You could easily sell these chairs on ebay or craigslist in the thousands.
The fact that this is a woodworking show has nothing to do with the quality of the furniture. The furniture that we saw was just as good quality as the ones we can buy at the hardware store. And the hand-made chairs were just as fun as any of the furniture we could buy at the hardware store.
The workmanship and attention to detail is the most important part of any show. These chairs are definitely not a novelty, so I think it’s very important that you not only have great attention to detail, but you also spend a lot of money on good quality furniture.
